The Education Finance Council Mid-Year Membership Meeting has been forced to move its location from The Liaison Hotel to the Omni Shoreham Hotel in Washington, DC. The dates and schedule will remain the same, only the location of the meeting and the room block has changed!

 

Education Finance Council received a call this week from The Liaison Hotel, the original location for the EFC Mid-Year Membership Meeting, informing us that despite our contract with them, they had prematurely released and sold all of the rooms in our room block to another group and would no longer be able to accommodate the EFC Mid-Year Membership Meeting.

 

Thankfully EFC has secured a room block and meeting space for the exact same dates at the Omni Shoreham Hotel, located at 2500 Calvert Street, NW in Washington, DC. In addition, the Omni is offering even lower room rates of $199 plus tax for EFC conference attendees and has extended the room block cut-off date to June 25, 2010. ALL EFC MID-YEAR MEMBERSHIP MEETING EVENTS WILL BE HELD AT THE OMNI SHOREHAM HOTEL. Reservations may be made by calling the Omni Shoreham directly at 800.843.6664, please refer to the Education Finance Council Mid-Year Membership Meeting to receive the special $199 room rate.

 

If you have already booked a room at The Liaison Hotel, you may cancel this reservation with no penalty by calling the hotel directly at 866-233-4642. The Liaison claims they are in an overbooked situation, so keeping this reservation is at your own risk. Also The Liaison is across town from the Omni and all EFC events will be held at the Omni Shoreham.

Due to the inconvenience of the change of venue, EFC has also extended its lower early-bird registration rate to June 25, 2010.  EFC deeply apologizes for any inconvenience this change may cause you, however, the circumstance are outside of our control.
